FYI. This is NOT an aluminum receiver. The cast aluminum receivers by Fed Ord are pretty easy to spot. They usually include the cast in picatinny rail as well. Those receivers are " No Bueno". Hard to believe Springfield Armory actually pumped out a few builds on those. They don't even like to acknowledge their existence. Think of them as "place holders" for a decent HK type parts kit.

The cast stainless steel Special Weapons receivers are a little harder to differentiate. They were mostly used on things like early Century CETME builds. They are decent receivers, but do not take a collapsing stock without some modification. I do not believe Springfield Armory ever used those.

This is a STAMPED steel receiver, just like HK builds them. If you are unfamiliar with these guns, please do a bit of research before throwing down a bunch of questions.

My understanding is these SAR8's are predominantly built at the Greek EBO factory and were imported to Springfield Armory. I do not know the state of completion when delivered to Springfield Armory? I do not know who added the "Navy lower"? More than likely the previous owner. ARS probably had nothing to do with adding this trigger frame. Adding a 3 position trigger frame is NOT adding a full auto trigger group and in no way converts this rifle to a full auto. Many HK guys do this replacement to make the rifle look like a full auto.

This rifle is as I purchased. It has the flash hider/ barrel high temp silver soldered onto shortened barrel to achieve permanent 16" length. FH does not come off. Mag paddle release was also added ( by Arizona Response Systems as specified by dealer I purchased from) by previous owner, not by me.

Hope this helps clear up some of the questions that have come in..
