I am thinking that is a red training pistol, just appears orange in that picture.
I have seen various training magazines, like Simunition Glock magazines that are blue like the baseplate of that magazine.

No, it’s indeed been cerakoted Orange by Fat Albert. I wish I had a 17R. This one is a dedicated dryfire training pistol with a trigger set from Southwest Shooting Authority. Mag is homemade weighted mag.
