I got half of this last Monday and the other half today.. 56lbs for $680 ($20 gas money included) American Reloading and Redeye Reloading have had deals on MP35 (same as Red Dot for as low as $237.99 for 16lbs shipped) for 4 days now and there's also 8#'s of 1680 that's been on here for 8 or 9 days for $180.. It’s in stock and can be shipped today and be delivered by 2-3 days? Most sites I’ve been to, are out of stock or taking orders but isn’t going to fulfill them for a few weeks. I based my price off of powder valley. Cost of powder plus shipping and hazard fee. With due respect, you know people aren’t going to settle for something that’s “like” red dot.

You reload obviously and I reload. So let’s take Accurate 1680 8# for example. It’s $180ish on powder valley without shipping and hazard fee. But we will keep it at $180 vs my $200. $20 more. Okay so 8# of 1680, how many rounds you think it can load? We will go with my bullets I have, the 150gr .308. Let’s say we load the hottest at 22gr per 150gr bullets. That’s a very hot load and the highest any Mfg would recommend for safety reasons and performance. So even at $200 for 8lbs and you loaded at max velocity, you still come out to around 2500 fully loaded rounds at least for $200. So 2500 \ 200 = 12.5 cents and say you bought 2100 at $400, that’s 19 cents per bullet. So far it’s at 31 cents for a .308 round. I don’t know what 308 rounds are going for but I doubt they are any cheaper than .38 cents a round. That’s my estimating that brass and primer wouldn’t be anymore than .7 cents a round since we all know bullet and powder is the most and important cost in making a round. I see .223 and 556 rounds going for 37 to 38 cents a round. That’s the logic I used when I priced my powder. Yeah it’s $20 more but it’s in hand and ready to be transferred vs having to wait for back orders that could be 5 days to 5 weeks before it’s even delivered.
