Item Name: FS Ruger 10/22 Threaded, Heavily Modified
Location: Perry
Zip Code: 31069
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $305/$175 Rifle Only
Caliber: 22LR
Willing to Ship: Yes
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: For sale, no trades: a Ruger 10/22-FS, with 16.25" threaded barrel. I have removed the flimsy synthetic stock and replaced it with a factory wood stock which was then primed and hand painted in a gray/maroon/black "net" camo pattern. The wood stock gave much fewer fliers than the synthetic, and at one time it was epoxy bedded the full length of the action and in front of the barrel block. I installed a Ruger BX trigger, however, and had to break the action out of the stock. It didn't have enough release agent in the right places or had too much epoxy in the wrong places, and it took about an inch of the stock from just behind the rear tang of the action. I have wood glued the pieces back, and it doesn't look too bad. It shot just as well even with the wood missing. Also, I installed a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40 scope with 22 BDC reticle in Nikon rings. I will include one 10-round magazine and the flash hider. So, if you bought this setup today, you'd have $240 in the rifle, $30 in the stock, $80-90 in the trigger assembly, $40-75 in the bedding, $20-25 in the rings, and $120-$150 in the scope, plus tax. The $120 additional if you want the scope is not negotiable. I will drive a short distance from Perry to make this deal or ship the package to your FFL for $25 if I must. Thanks for looking.
