Item Description: Up for sale is a 1962 Ruger Deerstalker Carbine rifle in .44 Remington Magnum. This would be one of the last Deerstalker models made before Ruger was forced to remove that designation from the line in late 1962 as well as one of the first 3,500 rifles that Sturm, Ruger, & Co. ever made. Rifle is in fair/good condition with no visible cracks in the stock. You can tell that an optic base was once mounted to the receiver and you can see that a sling mount has been added to the stock in the usual place. Obviously not a museum piece but an awesome little early Ruger that you can keep in the safe or feel comfortable shooting and not cry if it gets scratched.
