Item Description: This is a converted Model 28-2 (pinned and recessed) 4” barreled revolver. I original bought this 10+ years ago in it’s original configuration, which was .357 Magnum with 6” barrel. I felt it was too heavy and decided to work with a gunsmith to convert it to .44 Magnum. The revolver was fitted and timed to the new barrel and cylinder, blued, and fitted with custom walnut grips.
This revolver is very bit a Model 29….just with Model 28 stamped on it. I’m not selling it priced, nor priced, as a collector item. Great revolver from someone who wants an inexpensive older S&W to shoot and enjoy without guilt.
