Tgene, the hammer is fine for a belt draw, which is probably going to be where you carry this gun, but it reduces any ability to pocket carry. Additionally the Centennial design of the 640 allows the shooter a higher grip on the backstrap aiding in recoil management. I must disagree, but to each his own.
