Item Description: I am selling my p229 elite dark in 9mm that I purchased new in December of 2011. It's almost an E2 model because it takes e2 magazines and has the newer slide with external/long extractor but has the older style grips.
Approximately 1300 rounds have been shot through it, and have always used grease on the rails after one range trip where I did use oil and I was paranoid about rail wear so I switched to using grease (Medium viscosity Slide-Glide). I haven't modified the pistol in anyway. It came with night sights, thin trigger, short reset trigger and the black aluminum grips. Two 15rnd magazines are included. I still have the original box and papers as well.
It cost $1077 when new and had a few marks on the grips from sitting/moving around in the gun display case (I assume). During my ownership the slide developed some wear marks/scratches. I'm honestly not sure how or where they came from. It was my carry gun for a while but I got a glock 26 for carry and just don't see myself shooting this much or at all so that I can adjust myself to the glock. The trigger is absolutely amazing (the glock trigger blows) and the Sig has never given me one single failure.
NO TRADES. I am located in Marietta. TWO Mags are included with the box and papers. Someone in the last thread asked if E2 grips would work on this and they will if you buy a kit from Sig or top gun supply (not sure why you would since IMO these grips are much better).
My contact email is Justin . Abney at gmail.com.
For a local sale I do require you to have a GFL.
Four magazines do not come with the pistol - only two.
