Hi
This was a basket case I rescued at yard sale about twenty years ago. The wood was nasty, metal rusty and the action wouldn't open because the gas spigot had corroded to the op rod. Once I got it open I discovered the bore was good so it became a project gun.
Here's what's been done to it:
Metal reblued.
Refinished the stock.
Added a recoil pad because I have long arms and needed to increase the length of pull.
Finally I had the barrel shortened to 16" to reduce harmonics and it did help with the accuracy.
It's got a couple of dings and marks that I tried to photograph.
It's a sweet little carbine and comes with one Ruger factory 20 round magazine.
