Own a piece of history. One of the last 100 Swiss M1911s made, WITH a troop tag! Straight pull, excellent bore, stunning shooter. Mechanically perfect. All matching, of course (never seen a Swiss that wasn't). Will come with 24 rounds of 7.5x55 Swiss. Charging clips NOT included.

Troop tag info for the service member it belonged to that purchased his rifle at discharge:
Chaillet, Jules 1899 (birth year)
Res Gst (General Staff) VD (Vaud)
Essertines-sur-Rolle
H8I90H

Serial Number 481904 of 482000. Mfg 1919.

Not taking best offers. Reluctantly selling to save myself from selling something else...

tempting!!!

Would it tempt you more if you knew you could put a scope on it w/o drilling/tapping?

If I didn't already have an 1896/11 I'd buy this model 1911.

This sucker will put 'em where you point it...reminds me of a tuning fork when you pull the trigger.

I have a K31 but I like M1911s too. That mount looks super cool! . Bad ace also makes NDT style mounts .

Righteous and hopeful, Moriarity.

The last year of producing 1911s was 1919 and they produced only 3000 of them. The Long rifle production was halted by the federation and began to produce more of the karabiner versions .

I did not know this. I looked up the serial number range. This was one of the last 100 made. 482000 was the last SN. I'm 96 shy.
