Item Description: This rifle was purchased by my father in 1949 to hunt deer and was used until about 1960. Probably less than 300 rounds fired for practice and hunting. Rifle is in good condition with good bluing, very accurate. The serial number is 109957, same as the bolt, everything is original. The stock was refinished with rubbed oil and shows some scratches, etc from use but in very good condition. This is a collectible rifle with highly sought after pre64 Winchester 70 action. The least expensive I could find on pre64.com was $1,600+. The original scope is Weaver K2.5 power mounted low on the action as indicated in the photos. It will be included along with the original sling. I haven't shot it for 20 years or so but it drove tacks at 27 yards and zeroed again at about 230 yards.
