Item Description: A very nice Yugo M48 A Mauser rifle.
Bore is nice with good rifling, nice metal finish and nice stock with factory markings.
Comes with a correct sling and 2 boxes of surplus ammo. If you are looking for a good shooting 8MM rifle, here it is.

This one is a M47. It's much better than M48. You can tell the difference by the handle on the bolt. It's straight. M48 has one that curves down. This one is heavier a bit, and the markings are in Serbian Cyrillic (ФНРЈ - Federal People's Republic Yugoslavia - renamed the year after that to Socialist Federal Republic Yugoslavia and Предузеће 44 - Department 44, this is where Germans were making their 98s). During the 40s, Serbian Cyrillic was still the predominant alphabet until the communists had another idea in 1954. I had one just like this. This one was nicknamed танџара (tanjara in English). Back in the days of Turkish occupation (18th and 19th century, front loading guns were called like that). I've seen them with scopes attached, and they were so good, due to their accuracy.
