Item Description: Have a nice Enfield with nice patina I am putting up on the chopping block for trade only. Looking to see what kind of offers I may get that may persuade me to let her go. Not interested in any shotguns unless it is highly in my favor, mainly interested in AR’s, pistols and rifles. Shoot me your offers, worst I can say is no thank you.

Manufacturer? Does this rifle have a 'CR' or 'ER' prefix to the serial number?
Anything on the brass disc?

Sorry for the delayed response enfieldguy. I have been trying figure out how to answer your questions. The only things I can 100% tell you is the brass disc doesn’t appear to have any markings and there is ER on the rifle and prefix is CR before serial number. Here are some pics so maybe you might be able to help me understand what these markings mean.

The 'ER' on the buttsocket is Edwardus Rexus (King Edward)
The CR with crossed out serial number shows that this is a rifle that went to the new Irish Free State.
The 'EY' on the knoxform is 'Emergency Use'.

It's also missing it's charger loading piece on the bolt head.

Also you can unscrew the brass disc and see if there are any markings on the other side. Usually you'll find something.
