Item Description: I have a Howa 1500 chambered in .308. I got it in November of 2014 through a trade on here and it already had the Boyds laminated wood stock on it. Looks really sharp with the stainless steel bolt & barrel. Not sure of twist rate, but the barrel is 22 inches. It does not have a detachable mag, but it does have a hinged floor plate for unloading. The scope is a Redfield 3X10 Illuminator (not illuminated reticle, Illuminator is the model). The scope new was $375 and I have the box for it. I sold it to a buddy of mine in south Georgia shortly after getting it. Due to financial issues, I bought it back from him a few weeks ago. He told me that he had taken it to a gunsmith and had trigger work done, it is pretty light with no creep an breaks very smoothly. He said he also got it blue printed an bedded. He got sub 1/2 inch groups @ 100 yards with hand loads and sub 1 inch groups with Winchesters from Walmart. I'm not to familiar with Howas but this gun is well put together, looks beautiful, an is a SWEET shooter.
Unfortunately, the coyote problem on our farm is getting worse and I am looking to trade this for a new rifle to get after them with. I will sell for the right cash offer, but would prefer to trade. That being said, really looking to trade for a long range AR or Bolt gun in a varmint caliber (.223, .204, .22-250, 6.8, or another .308). I might consider a .17, but no .22's as I have plenty. Top of the list would be a nice AR in one of the above calibers. Would also be interested in one of the new slim line Glocks an cash, Sig 220, 224, 225, 229, 239, M11, or a nice 1911. However, I am wide open on trades, I find a lot of times I don't know what I want until I see it. I can add or take cash with trades. Will also listen to multi-gun offers, shotguns, and pistols. No Black Powder though.
