Item Description: Have a really nice marlin 39a JM stamp on barrel at reciever. Does have crossbolt safety. I got this as part of a trade and really have no need for it and have not fired it yet. Doesnt look to have been fired much at all. I will rate this gun at 98-99% bluing is almost 100% if some idiot didnt put a scope mount and whole bottle of loctite in the screws which ran out the holes onto the top of the reciever. You can see all this in the pictures.......im sure it will come off but i have not tried b/c i dont wanna mess anything up or remove bluing......i have had it apart and appears to be very clean. Action is smooth and works fine. Serial number lookup i found shows it to be a 2008.
I am gonna be firm on my trades, i like lever guns and dont need anymore 30/30's so other than that ask away. Looking at some big bore levers and pistol cal levers. Dont really want anymore .22's unless its a 94/22 or 2 henry .22's for the kids.
