Item Description: I have a very nice Remington 700 Stainless with syn stock. Mountain rifle length 22in barrel. manf. date is june of 1992. trades would be another 700 .308 3006 22-250 .338 or a M77 in same caliber. Cash offers also welcome.

Can you explain why the bolt is smooth? All 700's I've ever seen or owned from that period came with a jeweled bolt. First BDL model I've ever seen with that style of bolt........

From my understanding in 1992 was the first year they offered the stainless barrel in the mountain style. Its 22in and is .55 in diameter; called the 700 stainless synthetic. It has the crowned barrel and does not have the floor plate. In 1993 they offered it in a bdl.
