Item Description: Okay I have wound up with a Chinese made Cowboy gun. It's a side by side 12 gauge with typical dings and handling marks. It.s pretty light and therefore kicks like a pissed off mule. It says 2 3\4" shells on the chamber but I just tested it with a 3" high brass turkey load that rang my Bell! Maybe I wasn't supposed to do that but it did fine with it.
Anyway, I've wanted a side by side my whole life. But I just don't dig the rabbit ear exposed hammers. So I want to trade it for something more useful to me. I will gladly trade for another side by side in 12 20 or maybe even 16 gauge. I will also trade for a Mosin or Type 53. Not a nice one pleas since I'm gonna Bubba it soon as I get it. I will also trade for ANY 12 or 20 guage pump with wood furniture. I'm looks for like a Savage, Stevens older Mossberg or even a Sears pump gun to cut down . Nothing else comes to mind but I'm open to suggestions. I won't be able to finalize a deal until the middle of next week. Got birthdays and deliveries scheduled. Thanks for looking.

A 3" unfired hull will fit in a 2 3/4" chamber. The chamber is reamed to handle a fired hull which is approx 1/4" longer than an unfired hull. If it is reamed for 2 3/4" and you fire a 3", the opened hull will protrude 1/4" into the barrel and will be unable to open completely because of the restriction. That restriction will cause EXCESSIVE chamber pressures and could be come quite dangerous.
