Item Description: Howdy,

I am looking for a Jiminez JA 380 In nice condition, I know but before I get dragged in the mud.

The JA 380 was my first EDC when I was discharged out of the Marine Corps during the drawdown (2013).

I found myself with two seabags of clothes and a mere 500 dollars to my name and an honorable discharge.

I moved in with my grandparents and looked for a job but like combat vets always do, I felt like I needed protection.

I looked and looked for a cheap firearm to match my small budget, I found a Jiminez 380 and bought it at a Pawnshop on Hawthorne avenue in Athens. Two boxes of ammo, a holster and a new pistol for 60 bucks.

Anyways, it ran and did it's work and I kept it clean, lubed and carried for a few months until my job provided a steady paycheck.

Sold it and now regret it, so if one of y'all have a JA 380 pretty nice I got a crisp 50 and some wadded up ones for yah.

Ed's Pawn in Stockbridge has a good assortment of Jennings/Jimenez pistols. As do most pawn shops. My very first semi-auto pistol purchase was a Jennings Model 59 jam-o-matic. Long gone though, kinda miss it i guess.

I won a GunBroker auction one night years ago ( drunk bidding) for a set of two JA9 pistols. About $50.00 each as I recall. They were very used. When I got them transferred and home surprise surprise...one of them actually worked.
Anyway I called Jimenez in Vegas and arranged to send the broke one to them. They didn't even try to fix it. They just called me back and asked which finish I would like on the new one they were sending me. They sent me one new in the box with two mags and all the paperwork. Really nice folks on the phone even after I told them they were auction guns and I wasn't the original owner.
However I'm reasonably sure they were sued out of bidness again a few years ago.
