or maybe, have you seen V for Vendetta? do you remember, in that movie, what got the government so crazy and out of control with all the surveillance?

This has the potential to be really really bad. I think the chances are slim but then again it really only takes one person slipping through u noticed to infect a lot of people. How many Ebola patients do you think hospitals could really handle at once?

Less than one. Obviously

i knew this would happen, right after the news stated that the health care workers met him and examined him, i assumed they weren't wearing hazmat suits and could get the ebola virus.

ebola virus potential patients need their own entrance and area in the hospital with a separate climate control, self contained sewage and ventilation so as to prevent the spread of the virus

Ebola patients need a tent in the back lot

They're 95% gonna die so why risk infecting half the hospital ?

So if it was a fat ugly chick it wouldnt be so bad ?

no. i see a beautiful young lady (who isnt my type btw) who is young and probably just got out of nursing school in the last couple years who was trying to do a hard job, and help other people. I see the potential for her life to be ended because of ebola. and that sucks.

beautiful not as in "DUDE I WOULD SO DO HER" but more in the fact that she is a young person who was trying to do a noble job and now this.

breach in protocol?

probably allowing any son of a ***** to come to america from a ****ty region of the world without due diligence

OK, so you're in charge of a small African country with a rampaging epidemic of one of the deadliest, incurable diseases known to man going on. The first world is throwing you crumbs for support and debating the cost while your people are dying in the streets. To them it's a 'third world problem'.

Those same countries don't even seem to think they are capable of catching this disease. In their arrogance and short-sightedness they leave open the commercial airline routes into their own heartlands.

So, as dictator you decide to make them feel some of your pain. Not to end the world or anything, but simply to make them put some skin in the game.

You find a few people that want to travel, and surreptitiously expose them to the virus (as we've seen, it doesn't take much). Put them on the next flight out and then sit back and see what happens.

A week or so later, cases start popping up in the US. The money and resources in finding vaccinations, treatments and cures are now more than the combined GNP of all the countries affected in Africa. More aid is being sent your way as developed nations scramble to end the epidemic at it's source.

Congratulations, you have successfully made an epidemic the developed world was ignoring until it burnt itself out, into a first-world crises.
