Item Description: I have a Liberty head 1887 s Five Dollar Gold Coin and a 1897 s Five dollar liberty head Gold Coin. I am fairly sure the 1887 s coin is un-circulated - in a sealed case. The coin has a very good shine to it.
The 1897s is as good looking as the 1897s although not in a sealed case. There were 354,000 minted in the San Francisco mint and 867,000 minted in the Philadelphia mint in 1897 and reportedly few of the San Francisco mint coins exist today. This coin also has a very good shine to it.
Both coins are very smooth and there is no graininess on the coins as the pics would lead one to believe. Both are in good condition.
These $5 gold coins contain 1/4 ounce of gold each.
$450 cash for the 1887s coin in the sealed case.
$400 cash for the 1997s coin in the plastic cover.
To be picked up at the Delta Credit Union on Dallas highway.
