Is the pistol series 70 ?

I am no expert but I think those actually say 70 series on the slide. Educate me please. What makes a series 70 better? I assume that is what you are looking for since you asked the question. I love learning from all of you guys.

It is a Series 80. Easiest way to check is to lock the slide to the rear. Look under the slide. If you see a little round plunger, that's your firing pin block.

This is the newer model Commander. So it is definitely a Series 80.
