Item Description: Up for sale is a smith and Wesson model 58 that's been converted to 44 magnum. A blast (literally) to shoot. It's in good shape. Just a little holster wear.

How was it converted? Was it rebored or rebarreled and new cylinder

By the looks of it I would say rebored and new cylinder.

not rebored, it has the shrouded ejector, so must me a model 29 barrel and cylinder

I owned it for a while. It has a 44 mag barrel and is stamped as such. The cylinder is also a 44 mag cylinder. It had been converted prior to me having it. I took it to a gunsmith before I fired it and he said whoever done the conversion, done it right.
