1977 Ford F-150 Custom 4X4
Mileage Reads 24,868
I have $11,900 in parts and labor on receipts. I paid $5,000 for the truck.
I picked this up in September of 2021. It had been a project that sat in someone’s driveway for several years. I paid $5000 and traded a rifle as well.
Owner and his buddy had done a lot of work to the original 351 Modified (No not a Widsor) engine, put in new carpet, new seats, did some engine work etc but ran out of time, interest and money.
I bought it and towed it to my buddy’s shop. He installed a New Battery, New Door handles, New Carburetor, New Fan Clutch, New Fan Shroud, All New Belts and hoses, new Speedometer Gear and cable, New BF Goodrich Tires. All Told, I put in about $4500 the first go round.
Was out on Hwy 20 hauling ass and the piston went through the side of the engine. Tried to find another 351 Modified Ford Engine during the Pandemic. Couldn’t get one.
I finally found a 460 Big Block out of a 74 Lincoln Continental. Had that installed and had to add a motor mounts, new timing chain, new distributor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, new intake manifold, new water pump, new exhaust manifolds, fuel pump, oil pump. Heads were redone. other odds and ends. I have all the records $7500
Power Steering works, Brakes work good. Lights and blinkers work. New Seat belts. Heat does not work. Radio needs to be installed.
I have $17,000 in this as it sits. Its worth that. You can drive it anywhere now.
