GEW 88 Commission Rifle, 1894 (128 years old), WG Steyr, serial # 5482. It has Turk mark on bolt and safety but the rear sight has not been changed. Barrel looks good but needs a good cleaning before I will know for sure. It is not "S" marked. All numbers match (have not taken out of the wood) right now my biggest negative is no wiping rod. Plan on selling when I get it cleaned up as I have couple of others and this come in a trade for something I wanted. Hope to post clean pics later in the week. All the numbers that I have found match, receiver, barrel sleeve, both barrel bands, floorplate. Barrel is good, no pitting or rust. Still have not found the wiping rod. I have not shot the weapon, would revommend it being checked out but is in very good tight lock up. $650.00
