My understanding is that the barrel can be shorter than 16" if the total length of the weapon is 26+". So yes, the buffer tube (Sig brace) is part of the overall length and apparently since it's longer than 26" it's not illegal to have a vfg. I'm assuming it re-classifies the weapon to rifle length.So the brace is included in the 26" rule and is then considered an AOW? Sorry... just trying to understand.
