For sale is a NEW road wheelset, comprised of Mavic CXP22 rims (32h), with double-butted SwissDT black spokes, and 10-speed Shimano Ultegra hubs (Made in Japan, FH-6600 series, compatible with 8,9,10 speed cassettes).
I bought this set a couple years ago as an upgrade for my heavy road bike wheels, then somehow never bothered to change them, so they've been gathering dust (so to speak) in the box since I purchased them. Now, I rarely even ride that road bike, favoring my hybrid/ flatbar road bike, so I figured I'd just let these go.
I installed the FSA rim strips seen in the last photo. Also included are the Ultegra QRs. ( I even have a spare used Shimano 10spd cassette, if needed).
I did a quick internet search, and a set of nearly identical wheels just sold (mid August) on ebay for $149, plus tax, plus $50 shipping. And that set was visibly well-used, so brand-new for $160 (firm!) is obviously a steal. (My go-to wheels back in my serious training & racing days were virtually the same as these [Mavic Open Pros], but they were $300+ from Colorado Cyclist, and that was 20 years ago).
I'm located just a few minutes north of Columbus, near Exit 19 on I-185 (not up for any major road trips).
I'm primarilly just hoping to sell/sale/sail, but may consider a tempting offer of decent 223/556 ammo..
