Ok so I was disappointed with the Shield X Comp. I was expecting them to do what they did with bodyguard and extend the barrel to accommodate a port. But they didn’t they kept the same barrel length moved the sight back and ported it. So I decided to make it for them! Yep I bought a new Shield Plus Performance Carry Comp and a Shield X and swapped the slides. So I have an 4” performance slide on a X frame and wow it looks and shoots like a dream. Well that just leaves me with a small problem. I have an extra Shield X slide and new Shield Plus performance center frame along with the 10,13, and 15 round mags. Putting these two together is actually a really nice setup on its own. An optics ready slide with night sights, enhanced serrations, and a nice finish along with a 3.6” barrel with a performance trigger and frame that gives you the original Shield Plus feel in the hand. It ain’t to shabby.

Yep. I had a holster made for it by Spartan Tactical out of NC for $40. But you could also use a Shield Plus Performance Carry Comp holster and heat it up at the trigger guard and at the top and clamp it in to tighten it up around the frame.

Also Deep South Concealment and 4 Brothers have them as well. But you have to call them and they are $100 or so. Really nice holsters compared to the spartan pancake style and price. But I have holsters from each for other guns and frankly the spartan is more comfortable and concealable. No it’s not as fancy and I did take out a couple of the rivets and replaced them with screws and rubber washers to give me some flexibility with the retention. I also replaced their clip. But for $40 I didn’t mind doing that.
