Item Description: Model 1873 Springfield trapdoor Calvary carbine. Nice condition. Most of the "black" metal finish is still remaining. (The military specified black or browned finish.) Stock has not been sanded. This is the same model carbine used by "Indian fighters", Cluster's men used this model in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. I believe it is complete and original except for the missing saddle ring. It has military cartouche (visible but not readable) and proof stamps. Includes the original cleaning rods housed in the butt stock. The serial # reveals that it was made in 1888. For sale or would consider firearms trade. text 321 794 0018
