Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/th...rrel-basket-case-or-gunsmith-special.1067693/
Item Name: FS/FT Stevens 5100 side by side double barrel (basket case or gunsmith special)
Location: Barnesville
Zip Code: 30204
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $1,000,000.00
Trade Value or Items Looking For: you name it gun related
Caliber: 12 Gauge
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: I received this side by side in a multiple gun trade and have been thinking about the time and investment to reassemble something that I particularly have no use for. Bore seems shiny for this old of shotgun. It has some type of very hard coating (possibly duracoat or similiar on the receiver, barrel, and a few small parts. Stock is missing. I was told the gun was tore down because the safety was broke and in the process stock was misplaced or mistakenly disposed of. Ive found all the parts at Gun part Corporation (about $30.00 for small parts) and stocks at several sources including boyds stocks, bobs, gun part corp. They seem to be common. I was told the stocks were orginally some type of early bakelite material but walnut seems to be the going replacement. Everything in the gun seems tight. Pictures attached. Open to trades or offers!
