ILLINOIS MODEL 6 POCKET WATCH/WRIST WATCH CONVERSION FROM 1917 - $800
Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois. This Illinois Model 6 Pocket Watch was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1917. It is powered by the Grade 304 movement, which is a 17 jewel Illinois in-house movement. The movement has been custom refinished with vibrant blue accents. The accents were created through thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components, and the hands of the watch have been restored using the same thermal treatment process. The Illinois dial is double sunk, features Arabic numerals, and is in great condition with a slight crack at 5 o’clock on the second hand subdial. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored 50mm wrist watch conversion case so the timepiece can be enjoyed on your wrist. Because of Frett Clockworks dedication to preserving history, the original hunter case will be provided as well.
