"During the mid to late 1950s, the Soviets produced an aluminum 30-round magazine for the AK generally referred to as the “Aluminum Waffle” by collectors because of its very distinctive ribbed pattern. This mag is made entirely of aluminum, except for its spring, and carries a black enamel finish. Made by Izhmash, most will show its factory mark on their spine. These are very rare collector mags."
