I had never heard of a polished stainless blackhawk from Ruger before, so I did a little digging today and found this info on RugerForum.com, I hope this is helpful to the seller and any potential buyers, but you should probably do your own research if you are planning on buying this piece. If the production numbers are accurate then this is a VERY rare piece, and a great buy for the price OP is asking. GLWS

Anyone know the serial # range on the factory polished Blackhawks in 357 and 45. I think I just picked up the 357 to match my 45 that I already had but want to be sure. Both are shooters though and no box for either.

Ruger guru responded:

From the reference:

GKBN-34 and GKBN-36. Known s/n range 37-45788 to 37-46072 (GKBN-34) and 37-30362 (or 37-30622) to 37-45761 (GKBN-36). Probably not more than 200 GKBN-34's and 500 GKBN-36's produced. Very Rare.

GKBN-44 and GKBN-45. Known s/n range 47-59303 to 47-79470 (GKBN-44) and 47-59159 to 47-78685 (GKBN-45). There are probably less than 200 of the model GKBN-44 and about 300 of the GKBN-45. Both are rare.

the 34 & 36 models are in .357 IIRC

Also, I saw a similar Blackhawk that sold recently on gunsamerica.com for right at $900.

These statements seem to contradict each other.

You say that you have never heard of one...then you say you saw one sell recently. Which is it?

I had not heard of one before, so in the process of doing some research yesterday I found one that had sold recently at an auction site.
