Location: Hinesville

Zip Code: 31313

Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $300.00

Caliber: 9mm

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: Yes

Billing Information: Name and either LEO / CCWP Number or DL shown address for Bill of Sale

Item Description: OPERATIONAL Ruger P95 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol – Traditional DA/SA with Manual Safety / De-cock on Slide (2006 model); Cerakote™ “Armor Black” Slide and Lower Receiver; 8 (yes, that’s “eight”) Ruger factory OEM 15 round magazines (all with new +15% Wolff brand gun springs…finest on the market IMHO); one Fobus™ OWB paddle holster; one Blackhawk Serpa Retention CQC belt holster; original factory hard case (lockable), a gun lock, and owner’s manual (lock/box/docs).

In the interest of full disclosure and transparency: I became frustrated with it in recent months as it has begun to double feed on me every other magazine or so…not sure why. To make a long story short, it was the recoil collar retention ring which had failed. Ruger replaced it and a new retention collar for free.

Total of approximately 3500 rounds fired through the pistol since purchase in 2007. This was my primary off-duty EDC for 10 years. I’ve taken great care of it, and I’d like to see it get a great home with someone else who will too. I’m selling it at what I feel is a fair price with all the magazines, magazine springs, lock/box/docs, and both holsters.

As usual: I will sell – without question – to those persons who can prove they are current federal / state / local law enforcement with valid credentials in good standing, retired law enforcement in good standing with valid credentials and residing in Georgia. I will also sell, without question, to those private citizens of Georgia who hold a current and valid Georgia Weapons Carry License. I will also provide / require a bill of sale / receipt. We can work out a location that is safe and convenient for us both to make the transaction...I prefer your police / sheriff's dept. parking lot or similar location.

If you are not one of the above persons (current / retired LEO residing in Georgia or current / valid Georgia Weapons Carry License holder); you must pay for and submit to a background check and FFL transfer (completion of form 4473) at the sales counter at the Aim Center Mass firearms and indoor range store in Hinesville, GA (the cost is $30 per firearm being purchased at the time of this ad – 5Mar2019). Once you complete the form 4473 and pass the background check, I will complete the sale with you there and provide you a bill of sale / receipt for the transaction. If you are a military member, you will need a complete and legible copy of your orders which station you here in Georgia and your valid state of residence ID to complete this process. Again, I will also provide / require a bill of sale / receipt.

UPDATE!!! So, it appears the problem has been found!!! It seems my recoil spring collar retainer (a very small metal collar like a c-clamp ring) failed and caused the recoil spring collar to become loose at the end of the recoil spring guide... So, Ruger has sent me a retainer and a collar in the mail. Apparently this happens and Ruger keeps a stock of these retainers to replace the old ones that fail. I was told by one of thier techs that this is a "once every ten years or so" issue for the P95 series pistols. We'll see if that fixes the issue. If it does, I will still offer the pistol for sale at the same price as an operational firearm...I guess that's fair since I've kept it posted for this long anyway. So, if it does fix the issue, I will relist the item as operational at the same price and with all the extras. I should know by this weekend or early next week - so check back then if you are interested.
