Item Description: Almost new S&W 3953, 9mm. This is the ‘DA only’ version of the 3913 / 3914 in Inox. The frame is alloy, slide is stainless steel. As the pics will show, this is an as new pistol. I doubt if I’ve put a box of 50 rounds through it since new, I’ll let the photos do the talking - no scrubs, no scrapes, no wear anywhere, never carried, only out of its box to get cleaned and its once or twice trip to the range - that’s it.
Comes with two Mags, (one with finger grip extension), one with flat foot, factory ppwk and manual, gun lock, Smith factory plastic case, (but the SN label is missing). Mags hold 8 rounds, single stack. Not many trades I’d consider for this one, sorry. Price is $675.00 I’m not going to say this is a rare gun, but you won’t find many of this model out there in bnib condition like this one - don’t miss out on a great gun - slim, lightweight, 8 + 1 single stack, truly a great EDC piece ! (I carry its brother, the 3914).
Willing to meet buyer at Camp Creek Pkwy., or ATL Airport.

Not really rare, but really hard to find, especially with all the goodies.
It took me several years to find a 3913 within driving distance, and at
a price I was willing to pay. I carried a Model 39 -2 in the early 70s,
the granddaddy of the 39XX series, and thought it was the best
pointing, easiest to conceal pistol I had owned. The 39XX series is just
as good. This is a good deal. Someone needs to jump on it.

Thanks ! And you’ll notice that I did state ‘this is not a rare gun’, as I don’t feel it is - it’s funny though, you don’t see many come up for sale for quite some time, then all of a sudden someone puts one up on Gunbroker, gets a decent price for it, and suddenly 3953’s start popping out of the woodwork with the sellers asking big $$ - amazing, isn’t it !! But that seems to happen with several ‘scarce guns’ any more, oh well, such is life in the putty knife factory ! (as the saying goes).
Don’t know why but I prefer my 3913 / 3914 more than the 3953 - could be that I never really gave the latter enough time to break-in. It’s as tight as the day I bought it, whereas my 14 is nice and smooth (so to speak). I believe I carried either a 39-xx or a 59xx as my first (semi-auto) duty weapon in the late 80’s, don’t recall which. But my 1st 3913 was one of the best off-duty / undercover weapons I carried - really loved that gun !

My 3913 has the “Actions by T” shield on the slide. Very smooth action. I think it belonged to an ATL PD officer who carried it off duty. Many knowledgeable people consider the 39XX pistols to be some of the best for concealed carry.

That is the mark Teddy Jacobson placed when he worked his magic. Many consider him to be the best for trigger and action work. It no doubt has one of the smoothest action and crisp trigger of any 3913. An excellent find !

Many prefer the Double Action Only models like the 3953 because they are thinner without the need for the ambi safety. I like the compact models and frequently carry a 3913 or 4516 and just as OP points out about his 3914, I have grown comfortable with the traditional DA/SA models.

Good luck with the Sale,
