Springfield 03–A3 Custom Sporter. Caliber 30.06. Serial #3844515. Made by Remington this military rifle has been completely custom sporterized. The barrel has been cut to 20 1/2 inches and turned. Walnut Mannlicher stock has 20 line checkering and has a Monte Carlo cheek piece. The bolt has been altered for scope clearance and jeweled. Timney trigger installed (don’t know the lbs.) Brownell embossed floor plate, weaver scope mounts. QD swivels and a Brownell Latigo sling installed. Bluing is perfect, the cheek piece has a few very minor scratches. A mounted Weaver 2.5-7 Scope is included. The scope is model V7-B. The scope bluing is perfect and glass is perfectly clear. My father had the work done over 40 years ago and is very tastefully done. I have fired it two times to sight it in for deer hunting. Shoots fantastic. I’m basing my price on a 2008 appraisal that I will provide but have no idea of it’s current value. I know it’s a “crime” to sporterize military rifles but I didn’t do it! Make this heirloom yours.
