Here is the annual opportunity for a young man to earn good money learning a valuable trade.

In this role you will:

Keep truck and tools organized and clean
Communicate with customers
Assist with repairs and installs
Operate as a general go-fer
Additional duties as assigned.

You will learn:

Basic operation of a small business
How air conditioners operate
Basic diagnostic procedures of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
Installation of new components
Replacement of damaged parts

The successful candidate will:

Possess interpersonal skills
Be at least 18 years old
Wash self daily and use deoderant
Have his own reliable transportation
Respond to coaching
Be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
Put his phone down

If you don't get any offers I am about to retire will have too much time on my hands and might need something to do!!! I definitely meet all the above criteria. LOL. A couple issues - I can't do crawl spaces where I have to lay down to work and I HATE snakes which can be a problem for HVAC guys.

Dave, Have you ever reached out to Chattahoochee Tech about helping you place an intern? A couple of my former municipal clients and I worked with UWG and had terrific success. Students get academic credit and a paycheck if you set it up that way. You get the best of the best from the school. Just a thought. Here's a link to CTC's program. Career Services would be able to refer you to their small business liaison.

I am in touch with Chatt Tech and Paulding STEM but I like to throw it out to ODT members first. I know hiring a kid from here means he is accustomed to being around guns and won't be a little B when he sees mine.
