Gosh dang poison ivy got me over the weekend… both calves and forearm.

It’s like a mix of battery acid, jellyfish sting, chiggers, and fire ant bites all mixed into a nasty rash.

Cortizone 10 cream, Benadryl, and pink calamine lotion are knocking off the edge but it’s still aggravated and calling me to SCRATCH THAT ITCH!

Supposedly, you can scratch the blisters all you want. It only spreads at the beginning before you've washed the poison ivy leaf oils off your skin (and clothes). You can unknowingly spread it all over by rubbing the oil everywhere, The fluid in the blisters doesn't spread it. I tried being a tree surgeon down in Mobile, AL back in 1989--assisted the tree climbers by clearing limbs and bushes they had cut along the highway. I was covered in poison ivy by that evening. No fun.

Zanfel gives relief in a couple of days.
Cortisone, Benadryl, Calamine seems to take a week.
Tried bleach once, but it seemed to cause more skin irritation.
