I have nearly been hospitalized , when younger, but luckily don't seem to react badly to it now.
My big go to ,besides the Ivarest, was to wash with Fels Naptha bar soap if I worked around it.
It helps minimize any reaction. I 've used many bars of Fels over the years.

I have a brother who seems to get it if he comes within 100 feet of a poison ivy plant; even in the winter.

I attract that stuff like a magnet.

Put alcohol on it several times a day.

I been lucky for a pretty long time now but have had it many times in past. I have used calamine , bleach mostly. When really bad have gotten shot and steroids

Bleach bath…. Air dry! Steroids when it gets the upper hand…….

I used to jump in the pool after I shocked it.
