Hey guys!

I've never owned a IWB holster, so my question is, do you need a larger pant size so it'll fit properly and not be uncomfortable? Particularly the appendix and hip/side options. Any direction is greatly appreciated!

Cheers and happy shooting!!

Most modern holsters are fairly thin and don't add considerable thickness to the size of the gun you will be carrying.

Take the gun you want to carry.

Unload it. <---That part's important.

Stick it in your waistband. Hows that feel? If it's too tight you may want some bigger pants. If it feels ok you will probably be alright. Also, try it out in different positions to see what kind of holster you may want to get. A holster designed to carry appendix is not going to be as comfortable or conceal as well if you wear it on your side and vice versa.

If you're interested in new pants, check out the expandable waist on pants made for carrying a firearm. I bought a few, and like them a lot.
