Japanese Tasco scopes, Are they any better?

Nikons are the same way.

Early Nikons were made in Japan, people seek them out.

Then Thailand, now the Phillipines, and really now, out of the business,

I have several 20 plus year old Tasco's, glass is still really clear and the turrets are crisp.

I have one 5 year or so one, night and day difference in glass and even the body finish.

I have a few Japan made ones, a 6-24X40 that’s on my granddaughter’s 10/22, a 8-32X44 target dot model on my custom 10/22, and a couple of fixed 4X32s on bolt action 22 magnums. Got one made in China that I bought new about 3-4 years ago (6-24X42) on another 10/22 and there really is no comparison to the older ones.
