Does anybody on here know of any smiths here in Ga. that can re-jewel a rifle bolt? I can send it to Baldwin Bolt Jeweling up north but was wondering if we had any local guys that could do the work. Thanks!

Ott doesn't do it any more, but I just wanted to give a shout out to a vendor I used from Michigan. His name is Skip Baldwin and he owns Baldwin Bolt Jeweling. I sent the bolt from my Marlin MR7 and had the 16 line jeweling process done, and it is nicer than any I've ever seen! Turnaround was less than a week, and the total cost including shipping both ways was about $45 (plus $2 for every $100 of insurance). Excellent communication throughout the whole process, and I am extremely happy with the work and service! He also advertises on EBay. My MR7 was originally a project but after a new factory walnut stock ($64!) and the bolt rework it is as beautiful a rifle as I've ever owned. If you need anything jeweled give Skip a try, you won't be sorry!
