Actor Jussie Smollett was indicted on 6 counts Tuesday in Chicago by special prosecutor Dan Webb, stemming from the alleged racist and anti-gay attack on him that occurred in January of 2019.
He was indicted Tuesday on six counts of disorderly conduct by local authorities for faking a hate crime against himself that he blamed on white Trump supporters.

I thought as soon as a indictment was handed down he would be arrested and be required to post bail for release?

Weak sauce. All six charges are for disorderly conduct and filed under a code section usually used for business offenses, not usually associated with any jail time but rather with "steep fines". Likely he'll end up simply writing a check and walking away.
