I used to work the docks at a big Co, we got a couple dozen drivers in each day. Most of them drove for big Co's, and ALL of them wore head sets for their phones. And I wouldn't trush 98% of them to drive my pickup. Some of the dumbest people I have met was while I was in that job, and they were over the road truck drivers.
Not saying all truck drivers are dumb, (hell my brother is a long distance truck driver) But if I had to pick a group of people I have worked with or delt with, truckers would rank right at the top.

Sorry, the driver of the car was 100% in the wrong - just like the drivers of the vehicles that passed the truck in the beginning.
The truck driver could have done a lot of things but the other drivers could have also. Unfortunately, the truck driver probably got sued and will lose his job, but she damn near lost her life over that stunt!

That car had no business being where it was.
That truck needs to have that room to brake. She should loose her licence. Had he let her in and she tapped her brakes he would have killed her and then been on the hook for vehicular manslaughter. I hate the trucker is always wrong mentality. If there is not a large enough gap for the vehicle you're pulling in front of to not be tailgating there is not enough room for you to merge, period
He has every right to that left lane to pass the other truck as those cars do
100% correct. He also (along with all other drivers) should use common since and should have let off the gas or blown the horn. Just because someone else does something stupid, you don't have too. He KNEW the car was there. When he moved over as far as he could and the car kept coming, he should have let off. Make no mistake, I blame the driver of the car, but the truck driver could have avoided the wreck if he had not been trying to show how big his whiner was.

So as many have stated here the car was at fault but we blame the truck driver. Makes perfect sense to me. What if the car had forced the truck onto the shoulder and into the back of a church bus with a flat tire. Then who's to blame? Complete lack of respect on the road. SMDH
