Took my oldest son (9) out with me to sight in my scope at 100 yards. And loaded up a few mags of .22lr for his rifle so he could get some trigger time. There was a metal pipe sticking out of the ground around 6" wide. And he asked if he could shoot at it. I told him we were too far away but he could try to hit it if he wanted. (Side note. Its a 15-22 wirh a 6" barrel and a vortex strikefire 4 moa and a dobbs arc22al.) Hell i could barely see it from 100 yards with my bad eyes. He hit it on his first 3 shots! I said holy crap. Let me see that. Missed my first shot but hit the second. Damn kid is a natural shooter.

He'll be a natural shooter and a very good one the older he gets. When kids start young they don't worry about jerking, twitching and all those bad habits us old folks manage to come up with.

Yeah. Mine has an arsenal of nerf guns. I got him a cricket . 22lr and a walther p22 around his 5th birthday.
