I see a lot of items that stay listed, because the seller has a phobia about shipping.
When I see the ad week after week, the price drops, and it's still listed week after week, it makes me chuckle a little bit.

If the automated reminder and one-click repost feature would go away after a certain period then it would probably fix a lot of those. I'll bet most of those guys wouldn't go to the effort to keep manually recreating the ad every month for three years...
