Just traded in my White 2017 GTR for...

Most engines come out of the factory Pig rich. Leaning out the air fuel ratio out to 13.1 to 1 makes a whole lot of difference. Also the factory limits the torque the engine can produce for warranty reasons. If the warranty is out then I would go ahead and zero out the torque tables. Why be a bear when you can be a grizzly!

I just realized the irony of your screen name….

Yep, I created the username back in the early 2000s (like 01 or 02). It petty much signifies turbochargers. I stated a company, my first company which was called SnailWorks Garage. Mainly delt with doing engine swaps on Nissans. Then I started using my engineering knowledge and CAD expertise in creating a parallel company call SnailWorks Engineering. Designing things like mount kits, heat shields, transmission adapters etc.

Being a leader in 240sx's 20years ago I could not make my own 240sx with just a SR20 swap. Nope I did the first RB26DETT swap in the US, sourced from an R32 GTR into my 240. I converted it to RWD using an RB25det (R33 skyline gtst) transmission, custom oil pan and pretty much custom everything else. I converted the car to right hand drive to keep the twin turbos since the stearing shaft would hit the rear turbo. I was running HKS 2530s, tuned with a Apexi PowerFC standalone. I stripped it completely out (No interieior, AC, Heat, Radio etc), weighing only 2280LBS and dynoing 580HP at the wheel. Talk about devastatingly fast.... Keep in mind, this was in 2005, when most people were swapping their SR20s T25 to a T3, fuel tuned with an SAFC thinking they were fast.

If you look at the pictures, one of them is right infront of the very same garage bay (middle) as the the pictures of the new GTR I took yesteday. My history with GTRs goes way back. I even had a R32 GTR before it got seized by customs. My brother currently has one though. He got his 10yrs later, once they were allowed to be imported. (25yr rule)

Man, lusted after these GTR's for a long time.

Finally after divorce, circa 2015, I trotted down to the dealer in Roswell to test drive and buy one. Lo and behold, I did not fit! 6'2" 240 lbs, and I did not sit in the seat, I perched. So dealer took me over to the more expensive one with the racing seats, even worse.

So disappointed...........

Yours looks killer!
