kicked out of hunt club for posting a pic

Get your money back. If not, let him know you'll be broadcasting the location of the property and all other information on every single version of social media available that will help people find their spot and kill everything that's there. :thumb:
Excellent advice

on labor day weekend i went down to the club to plant my plots and check camera and fill feeder. i got a good pic on my camera and since i am a member on facebook group i decided to post the pic like many other hunters do. boast about what may be, ya know. yesterday i get a call from the pres saying that im out. I ask why and he said a freind of a friend showed him my post/pic. I said ok....Im sorry. didnt realize that posting a picture was against club rules. he actually told me it wasnt and I said then whats the problem. "we just dont do that" was his response. crazy and weird to me. he actually told me, and I quote..."now all those hunters are going to come down here and ride the roads at night and come on to my property in the middle of the night to kill it". no one in the club is on facebook or use the internet really. someone saw it, showed his dad the pic and that guy is apparently a friend of his......this isnt just a rant i wasnt going back next year anyway. this guy is unethical. i like to follow rules and he hunts rabbits at night in june, kills hens in and out of turkey season, literally says there are no hens on his club and has told me on several ocassions that he will shoot any 10 point at night or on the road and throws all of his carcasses on to his neighbors land. He doesnt care
so my question to yall is.....1)am I right in being flabbergasted about this or
2) am I wrong? should i have not posted a pic from my camera on my feeder on my plot?
is this dude crazy?
Probably wants that deer and he sounds like the kind of guy that will cut the backstraps out of a deer and dump the rest.
Letting a game warden know what is going on wouldn't be spiteful, just a good idea.

you are probably better off getting away from that club!!!!!

I had a somewhat similar situation many years ago. I had been a member of a club for several years when the head of the club brought in a couple of new folks that he knew from work. To say they were ignorant rednecks is a disservice to ignorant rednecks. (Did you know that a Cottonmouth and a Copperhead are actually the same species of snake and that only a "city boy" would think they were different? Neither did I.) We never really crossed paths, so no big deal.

A year later the head of the club moved and gave leadership to the worst of the two. One week before opening day the guy calls me and tells me I'm out of the club. When I asked why he said he didn't need a reason. I had five stands in place and he said I could no longer come on the property to retrieve them unless he was there and he had no idea when he would be available to do that.

I went to the property owner to get his permission to retrieve my stands. When the owner found out what was going on he was pissed and it turned out the new head of the club had not paid for the lease for the upcoming season yet. It was a nice, but relatively small property and I wrote him a check on the spot.

The property owner then contacted redneck one and redneck two and informed them they no longer had any right to the property and if they ever came back on it they would be arrested for criminal trespass. Fortunately they did not have any equipment on the land, so there were no complications and I never saw them again.

I got five more years of good hunting there until the owner passed away and his children had all of the hardwoods timbered.
