Hear ya, rung her out a bit too much for a bit too long.
It sux that Ducati cheaped out on some of the main bearings like in the 848, 1098. They're essentially race bikes waiting to blow up if run real hard. On my 1100s I try to short shift it an keep it in the meat, 4-6k most of the time.
Yeah, I hear ya. Your motor wants to be revved. Mine is the old school 2 valve, air cooled motor. Redline is only around 8500 or so. She's no race bike but she's pulls well.Well **** brother you can afford to short shift on an 1100.
The Duck quacks at 9K rpm, that's the meat up to 10,500, It pulls at 6K but then so does a GSXR 600 and all the way to 16,500.
It does have torque and believe me bro I exploited that.
