Best ride in Georgia.
Go up HWY 9 to Dahlonega, then HWY-60 to Suches, then Hwy 180 / Wolf Pen Gap road to Hwy-19/129, turn right, go to Turners Corners, the 9/19 back to HWY-60...

That's a good ride, but you can extend it on another great road, since you're so close.

Off 180 make a left instead of a right on 19/129. Go a couple miles and make a right, in front of the store with gas. Best I recall it's named Richard Russel scenic highway and it'll bring you in to Helen from the north side. It's a really nice road with great views!
