given the air under the front tire, I think it's a lost cause.. and yes riding with no gear on deals gap = not a smart move. it's not just you as a rider, it's others that can cause you to crash. but in this case I would guess it's the riders fault seeing I don't see anything else in the photo to place blame.I hope for their sake he was able to power through this fiasco. Similar thing happened to me one on my Heritage Classic. Noise was terrible, but I gave it some juice and destroyed the metal piece near the kickstand and kept on going. The risk we take for the thrill of the ride. Also, in my view, he should have had her dressed to at least offer a minimum of protection.
